Planning estimates, not advice

MicrogridModeler produces modeled estimates for planning and education. Results depend on your inputs and on public data with known limits, which the methodology describes. They are not engineering, legal, tax, financial or investment advice, not a design stamped by a licensed engineer, and not a quote or guarantee of equipment performance, savings, incentives or utility bills. Tax-credit results come from a dated rules table (incentives) and your own eligibility answers; confirm them with a tax professional. Verify tariffs with the utility and any design with a qualified engineer before relying on it.

Using the site

• You may use the site and your results for any lawful purpose, including in commercial proposals, if you do not present the results as reviewed or endorsed by MicrogridModeler.
• Do not attack, overload or scrape the site or the API beyond the published rate limits, or try to bypass them.
• You are responsible for the data you enter and upload, and for having the right to use it.

Simulation API (open beta)

• The API at /api/v1/simulate is free during early access and provided as an open beta: no service-level agreement, no uptime or support commitment, and the schema may change. The contract is published at /openapi.json.
• Requests are limited to 20 per minute per client and by a published compute budget; excess requests receive HTTP 429 or 422.
• Archive the schema version, your payload and the returned fingerprint with any automated study.
• We may change, limit or end the API, or block clients that abuse it.

Embeds

The embeddable calculators may be placed on other websites with their "Powered by MicrogridModeler" attribution intact. The embedding site is responsible for how it presents the results to its visitors.

Data-source licenses

Results use the public datasets and services listed below; each keeps its own terms and attribution requirements, which apply to data you export. U.S. government datasets (NLR, EIA, NASA, Census) are generally public domain; third-party license texts are on the notices page.

No warranty

The site, the calculators, the API and all results are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, MicrogridModeler and the people who build it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, savings or data, arising from your use of the site, the API or any result, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, which during free early access is zero. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; there, they apply to the fullest extent permitted.
